This page explains how Dividend Toolkit retrieves market data, known limitations, and how to report an issue.

Sources

• Yahoo Finance: primary source for dividend history, ex-dates, and cash amounts.
• Internal caching: short-lived cache to improve performance and reduce rate limits.

Timeliness & Latency

Market data may be delayed. Corporate actions can take time to propagate. If in doubt, verify with issuer filings.

Known Limitations

• Occasional symbol mismatches (e.g., class shares, ADRs) may require manual verification.
• Historical restatements can temporarily diverge across sources.
• Rate limits may throttle frequent calls; the add-on mitigates via smart caching.
